At Piano Provenzana, on the northern slope of Mount Etna, lava, snow, sun, and sea come together in a single breathtaking setting.
You start at an altitude of 1,800 meters, climb to over 2,300 meters, and ski with the volcano behind you and the deep blue of the Mediterranean before your eyes. It’s a powerful, almost surreal landscape, where every descent becomes a story: the track carved into the snow, the spectacle of the Northeast Crater, the view over the sea of Taormina.
Here, Etna is not just scenery. It is character, energy, identity. It is the one-of-a-kind mountain, “ ‘A Muntagna”, “Mongibello”.

Skiing on the highest active volcano in Europe is a truly unique experience. On Mount Etna, snow doesn’t always manage to soften the ruggedness of the lava, and the slopes cut through a landscape that is constantly changing.
Here, sun and wind sometimes prevail over snowfall: snow cover is variable and, over the years, with climate change, the ski season tends to grow shorter.

Slopes and Services
Three slopes designed for expert skiers, one easy run served by a chairlift for beginners, and a magic carpet for those taking their very first steps on skis or a snowboard.
Equipment rentals are available, along with a restaurant near the Monte Conca ski lift and chalets offering services around the base station of the Pouchoz–Tanaurpi chairlift: everything you need to enjoy a carefree day at altitude.
The rest is taken care of by the Sicilian light and the sea, which on clear days stretches the horizon all the way to Calabria.

- You can skip the line at the ticket office by purchasing your voucher online in advance, ready to be scanned.
If you haven’t purchased the voucher online, you can still buy it at the ticket office, or directly with your smartphone by scanning the purchase QR code.
