Terms of Sale
1. Supplier Identification
The service for access to and use of the ski resort is provided by Russo Morosoli Invest S.p.A., with registered office at Stazione Partenza Piazzale Funivia Etna Sud – 95030 Nicolosi (CT), VAT No. 00749890877, phone +39 095 387426, email: info@russomorosoliinvest.com, PEC: russomorosoliinvest@pec.it.
2. Scope of the Service
The service known as STAR Etna concerns access to and use of the areas and facilities of the Etna Nord ski resort, according to the operating procedures and schedules established by the operator, depending on weather conditions, operational requirements, and provisions issued by the competent authorities.
3. Online Purchase of the Voucher
Users may purchase a digital Voucher online through the official shop.
After purchase, the Voucher is sent by email in digital format (PDF or equivalent) and contains a unique QR code.
The Voucher:
- does not grant direct access to the facilities;
- must be exchanged for a physical pass;
- is valid exclusively according to the terms specified in the following section.
4. Voucher Use and Pass Collection
The voucher purchased online must be scanned by the end of the current ski season.
To use it:
- the user must go to the pick-up box located at the STAR Etna facility;
- the QR code on the Voucher must be scanned using the pick-up box reader;
- after verification, the physical pass required for access to the facilities and authorized areas will be issued.
Any Voucher not exchanged within the specified time limit automatically becomes invalid and is non-refundable.
5. Exclusion of the Right of Withdrawal
Pursuant to Art. 59, paragraph 1, letter n) of Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005 (Consumer Code), the right of withdrawal is excluded for leisure-related services.
No refunds or extensions are provided in the event of:
- bad weather or adverse weather conditions;
- volcanic activity or orders issued by the competent authorities;
- total or partial closure of facilities for technical or safety reasons;
- failure to use the Voucher or pass within the prescribed time limits.
6. Suspension or Limitation of Service
a. Weather Conditions
Weather conditions in mountainous environments can change rapidly. The operator reserves the right to suspend or limit access to the facilities at any time for safety reasons, without any obligation to provide refunds.
b. Volcanic Activity
In the event of alerts or directives issued by INGV, Civil Protection, or other competent authorities, the company may suspend access to the affected areas and facilities. No refunds are provided in such cases.
7. Use of the Pass
- The pass is personal and non-transferable.
- It must be shown upon request by authorized staff.
- In the event of loss or damage, no free replacement is provided.
8. Prices and Concessions
- All prices are expressed in Euros and include VAT.
- Prices may vary according to operational, fiscal, or seasonal conditions.
- Any concessions apply exclusively under the terms communicated by the operator and upon presentation of valid documentation.
9. User Obligations – Helmet and Insurance
9.1 Certified Protective Helmet
Pursuant to Art. 17 of Legislative Decree 40/2021 and subsequent amendments, starting from the 2025/2026 winter season, the use of a certified protective helmet is mandatory for all skiers, regardless of age, while practicing alpine skiing, snowboarding, and other related sports disciplines.
Failure to comply with this obligation results in the application of administrative fines and possible withdrawal or suspension of the travel title by the competent public authorities.
Compliance checks are entrusted exclusively to the competent public authorities.
9.2 Third-Party Civil Liability Insurance Coverage
Users acknowledge that, pursuant to Arts. 29 and 33, paragraph 2, letter l) of Legislative Decree 40/2021, possession of a valid third-party civil liability insurance policy is mandatory, covering any material damage or personal injury caused to third parties during skiing activities.
Failure to comply with this obligation results in administrative fines, as well as withdrawal of the travel title by the competent authorities.
STAR Etna therefore encourages all Voucher purchasers and, consequently, all skipass holders to obtain adequate insurance coverage before arriving at the facility.
The policy may be purchased even after the Voucher purchase, but must in all cases be active and valid before using the services and facilities.
The user has complete freedom to choose any insurance company that complies with legal requirements.
Insurance coverage remains in all cases the sole obligation and responsibility of the individual user.
9.3 Limitation of Operator Liability
Russo Morosoli Invest S.p.A. is expressly released from any liability regarding the absence, incompleteness, or irregularity of the user’s individual insurance coverage and is not required to verify in advance the possession of such insurance.
Any checks may be carried out at any time by the competent public authorities.
9.4 Minors
In the event of purchasing vouchers for minors, the accompanying adult declares full awareness of the civil responsibilities associated with supervising the minor, including the use of ski lifts and slopes.
The transport and stay of minors take place under the full responsibility, protection, and supervision of the accompanying adult.
10. Animals, Equipment and Prohibitions
- Transport of sports equipment compatible with skiing activities is permitted.
- Access with pets is subject to staff authorization and current regulations.
- The use of drones and unauthorized vehicles within the resort area is prohibited.
11. Inspections and Penalties
Any improper use of the Voucher or pass will result in immediate withdrawal and the application of penalties provided for by current regulations, with possible reporting to the competent authorities.
12. Privacy and Cookie Policy
Personal data provided during the purchase process is processed in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) exclusively for purposes related to service management and access credentials.

13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by Italian law. Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Catania.
